John Fogerty will wrap his “50 Year Trip” tour with a 10-night run at Las Vegas' Encore Theater at The Wynn. Fogerty will close the year out playing shows on November 4th, 6th, 7th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 18th, 20th, 21st, and 22nd. Tickets go on sale this Friday, February 28th at 10 a.m. PT. Fogerty is currently working on a new album, which will mark his first new collection of all original material since 2007's Revival.
John Fogerty told us that back in the day playing Las Vegas was considered a curse — now, it's become one of the most coveted gigs in all of rock: “When I'd think of Vegas, I would think of fat Elvis (Presley), y'know? It was not a positive picture for sure, to me. At one point in time, Elvis was a young rock n' roller, and was deadly serious about what he was doing, y'know? But by the time he was in Las Vegas, especially the later portions, it seemed like he was kind of mailing it in (laughs) himself. I think the world has changed. You do not have to approach playing in Vegas that way. I am very serious about being an entertainer, a good musician, and being able to perform in front of what is — in some ways — a pretty tough audience.”
