SAM SMITH DROPS VIDEO FOR ‘TO DIE FOR’: Sam Smith released their new single, “To Die For,” on Friday, along with a haunting, wig-filled video. The video opens with a sample from the 2001 cult film Donnie Darko and is shot from the point of view of a sad, lonely mannequin head that could use a wig from the wig shop Smith recently opened. The mannequin head spends the video looking forlornly out the shop window at happy human customers, desperately wishing to fall in love. Sam’s new album, also called To Die For, is due May 1st and available for pre-order now. If you do, you’ll get downloads of “To Die For,” as well as Sam’s recent singles “How Do You Sleep?,” the Donna Summer cover “I Feel Love,” “Fire on Fire” – which Sam recorded for the latest version of Watership Down – and the smash Normani collaboration, “Dancing with a Stranger.”
