The Who, Stevie Nicks, Foo Fighters, and Dead & Company, are among the acts already on board to perform at the 2020 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. Jazz Fest runs over two weekends: April 23rd through 26th, and April 30th to May 3rd.

Pete Townshend said that despite modern technology separating and isolating people, music festivals still serve a crucial human need: “We do want to be together. I think that's what we want. I think the human race multiplies, music is about congregation, it's about gathering, it's about sharing — and it's about knowing who you're not like.”
